Welcome to the Rochester MN Izaak Walton League

IWLA Mission Statement

To conserve, maintain, protect and restore the soil, forest,
water and other natural resources of the United States
and other lands; to promote means and opportunities
for the education of the public with respect to such
resources and their enjoyment and wholesome utilization.

The Rochester MN Chapter of the Izaak Walton League is involved in the community is many ways. At our wetland we are providing opportunities for local groups, such as the Boy Scouts, to complete community service projects. We provide college scholarships and science fair awards to local students. Our cabin, with its unique fireplace, is located on Silver Lake and has been part of the community for many years.

Regular Meetings

We are in the process of scheduling speakers for our 2008/2009 season.  We intend to focus on energy production that the average home owner can have installed.  The initial focus will be on wind, solar and geothermal.  If you have any suggestions, send an email to the contact address on this site
