Welcome to the Rochester MN Izaak Walton League

IWLA Mission Statement

To conserve, maintain, protect and restore the soil, forest,
water and other natural resources of the United States
and other lands; to promote means and opportunities
for the education of the public with respect to such
resources and their enjoyment and wholesome utilization.

The Rochester MN Chapter of the Izaak Walton League is involved in the community is many ways. At our wetland we are providing opportunities for local groups, such as the Boy Scouts, to complete community service projects. We provide college scholarships and science fair awards to local students. Our cabin, with its unique fireplace, is located on Silver Lake and has been part of the community for many years.

Monthly Meetings

We hold monthly meetings September through June on the first Tuesday of the month.

On March 4 we hosted a presentation called "A Peek at Peak Oil" presented by a long time IKES Norm Erickson.  This informative session enlighted us on how near the oil production peak maybe and what we can do.

If you have any ideas for presentation or would like to present.  Send an email to us by using the contact page.
